Steven Jerry Watts, 37, of Lander died on Wednesday, June 11, 2015. A Celebration of Life is planned for Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at North Side Park in Lander at 6:00 pm. A family gathering will be held in Riverside, CA at a later date.
Steven Jerry Watts was born on March 10, 1978 in Madera, CA to Sharon Richmond Watts. He grew up in Madera, CA and attended schools there. He was a graduate of the Pharmacy Technician Program in Fullerton, CA. He stayed in Fullerton for four years before moving to Orem, UT for six years then to Lander, WY where he has lived for three and half years. He was working at the Wyoming Life Resource Center as a Medical Aide at the time of his passing.
He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints when he was eight years old. In 2011 he was re-baptized into the Catholic Faith in Orem, UT.
On March 13, 2010, he married Cheyenne Mary Cook in Las Vegas.
His family said that he enjoyed surfing, video games, loved the mountains, had a dark sense of humor, and loved to do anything and everything to the extreme. He made friends with everyone and shared a lot of stories with them.
He is survived by his wife, Cheyenne; his grandmother, Reva Richmond; his children, Lance, Jimmy, Chris, Andrew, Aiyana, and Kalani; his sisters, Tammy, Kimberly, and Kristel; and his nephews, Matthew, Skylor, Jaden, Jordon, and Eric.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Watts, and grandfather JL Richmond.
