Byron Travis Amos, 45, of Riverton, died at his home on August 12, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Blue Sky Hall at 10:00 a.m. A Feast and give a way to follow.
Byron Amos was born on July 20, 1970 in Casper, WY to Ernest and Kay Amos. He was raised in Seattle, WA until he was 13 years old when he moved to Kinnear to live with his Dad.
Byron attended Wind River High School and lettered in football, wrestling, and basketball. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served 6 years as a Sea Bee in California. After discharged, he worked on hydraulic equipment. He moved back to Fremont County and worked odd jobs until he became at the casino as a cook.
His family said he enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, and camping with his brothers.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Ernest and Delsa Lawson; his brothers, Bridger (Stephanie) Lawson, Arthur (Rene) Lawson, and Ernie (Melissa) Lawson and nieces and nephews from the Kinnear area.
He is also survived by sisters, Carrie Amos Clark, Savanna Hendrickson, and Tomica Leonard. Nieces; Shawn Carrie Clark, Emily Shakira and Elena Amos. Nephews; Hunter Amos and Juane Amos and Orlo Amos. Aunts; Carol Produit Bernice Helms, Melody Hendrickson, and Julene Jardine. Uncles; Rex Amos, Phillip Hendrickson, Jr. and William Glenn. Cousins; Virgil Amos, Raymond Produit, Jr. and Robert Produit, Yolanda, Justin, Vanessa, Walking Woman, Elouise, Clarence Jr., Darnice, Marcus Jr.,Phillip III, Christopher, Chelsea Hope, Bert, Jacob, Wesley, Orlo Amos, Milkey, Jada, Yeva, Serenity Produit and the family of Butch Trosper.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Aurelia Johnson, stepfather, George Johnson; his brother, Herschel Amos; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Amos Hendrickson; cousin, Geraldine Hendrickson; maternal grandfather, Orlo Amos; maternal great grandmother Mary H. Amos; great, great, great, great, grandfather Sharpnos; and uncles, Stanley and William Glenn Amos.
