Memorial services for Kathy Hanners will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Davis Funeral Home.
She passed on September 22, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with RA.
Kathy Mae Miller Hanners was born January 13, 1959 in Gillette, Wyoming She grew up, and went to school in Riverton. She was in the class of 1977.
In the fall of 1977 she married Donald Morris and they had three children together. They later divorced. She then moved to Greeley, Colorado where she met and married Allen Hanners in 1996.
They moved to Las Vegas where she worked as a neonatal ICU nurse. She loved her job and the many babies that came through her unit, and continued to follow their progress through the years. It was her passion. Because of her illness, she was forced to retire from nursing. She moved back to Riverton to be closer to family in 2012.
While in Riverton, she enjoyed gardening and canning with family.
She is survived by her three children, James Morris of Hays, Kansas, Michaela Harper (Jarrod) of Hill City, Kansas, and Jeffrey Morris of Victoria, Kansas, 2 Step sons, Zachary Hanners and Ryan Hanners both of Denver, CO, her parents Farrell and Marie Maw, and siblings Joyce Pritchard (Dan) of Tuscon, AZ, Judy Wilkinson of Lander, WY, Nancy Moyer (Rusty) of Casper, WY, Jackie Angel (Terry) of Riverton, Steve Miller of Morgan, UT, Joel Hagstrom of Douglas, WY, Debra Lange (Rob) of Heber City, UT, Jeff Maw (Tibi) of Bountiful, UT, Phillip Maw of Hooper, UT, and Bryce Maw (Kathy) of St. George, UT. Her grandchildren, Shawn Morris, Brianna Morris, Brett Morris, Joshua Fabila, Nolan Morris, and Maelyn Morris. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, who adored her.
