David “Dave” McDonough, 75, of Riverton, died at his home on Monday, October 19, 2015. A private graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 26, 2015, at the Pinedale, WY cemetery.
David Ray McDonough was born on August 4, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Ray and Alberta (Esslinger) McDonough. When he was young the family moved to Rock Springs, WY where he attended schools and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1958.
On September 27, 1959 he married Patricia Volsey in Rock Springs, WY. They had three children together. They later divorced. He lived in Rock Springs until 1992 when he moved to Riverton where he lived the rest of his life.
He worked for Mountain Fuel Supply and Stauffer Chemical, and then in Electrical Sales for Crum Electric, and Anixter Wire.
He was a member of the BPO Elks both in Rock Springs and Riverton.
He enjoyed boating on Fremont Lake, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Renee Pedersen and her husband, Jeff of Rock Springs; his sons, Dan McDonough of Rock Springs, WY and Jack McDonough of Salt Lake City, UT; his companion, Ramona Piper of Salt Lake City, UT; his grandchildren, Tyler McDonough of Salt Lake City, Jeremey McDonough of Pueblo, CO, and Samantha McDonough-Preuit and her husband, Josh, great granddaughter, Savannah Preuit of Rock Springs; and his ex-wife Patricia McDonough.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alberta McDonough.
