A Memorial Service for Darwin Karl Dammen, 68, will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Rex Whitman of the First Baptist Church officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later time at Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Dammen died on November 9, 2015 at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. He was born November 26, 1946, in Osage, Iowa, son of Karl G. and Wilma Connie Myrlett (Berg) Dammen. He married Marjorie Rake but the couple later divorced. On May 24, 1989, he married Carol Knutson Wiener. Darwin farmed for over 20 years in Iowa before he moved to Cody, Wyoming in 1985. He then moved to Casper and resided there from 1989 until 1998 when he and Carol moved to Lander. The couple moved to Riverton in 2014. He worked in advertising and marketing for 27 years with 17 of those years at Fremont Motor Company as the marketing director. His family says that Darwin loved his job at Fremont Motors. Mr. Dammen enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Carol of the family home in Riverton; mother, Connie Dammen of Iowa; sons, Mike and his wife Lisa Dammen of Des Moines, Iowa and Tony and his wife, Cherie Dammen of Parker, Colorado; step-sons, Joel and his wife, Lindsay Wiener of Dubois, WY and Mark and his wife, Amy Wiener of Dubois, WY; step-daughters, Leah and her husband Jim Nelson of Missoula, MT and Sara Wiener of Riverton, WY; brother, Dennis and his wife, Julaine Dammen of Minnesota; sister, Mary Graeff and her husband, Ron Graeff of Iowa; 10 wonderful grandchildren, Hannah and Izzy Dammen, Gunnar Dammen and Dalton Croft, Ashlyn and Zoey Wiener, Emily and Sara Gettelmen, Emma and Noah Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father, Karl; brother, David Dammen and sister, Betty Dammen.
