Doris “Doritos” Louise Race died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her home in Riverton of a lengthy illness.
Doris was born May 1, 1942 to Homer Kendall and Ollie (Gilpin) Philpett in Michigan City, Indiana.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. December 5, 2015 at The Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in Riverton.
Doris lived in seven different states when she was growing up, spending the last 22 years in Wyoming, including Hudson and the last two years in Riverton. She married Marcel Race on March 9, 1996 in Lander, Wyoming
She enjoyed her friends, playing cards, social activities, crocheting table cloths, clothes and dollies and knitting blankets.
She is survived by her husband Marcel of Riverton, son; Jeff Montez of Koon’s Bay, Oregon, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 nephews, 9 nieces, 31 grandnephews and grandnieces, 6 great grandnephews and great grandnieces, aunt Stella Hodges of Hoffman, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Laura and Kathy Smith, son Wendell Smith, 1 brother, 1 sister and her parents.
