Donna Antelope, 58, of Ethete, died at her home on Saturday, December 12, 2015. A wake will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Great Plains Hall. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, December 18, 2015, at Great Plains Hall with Father Phil Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery.

Donna Jean Antelope was born on August 7, 1957 in Arapahoe, WY to Richard Anthony and Lily Waterman. She grew up in Fremont County and graduated from Riverton High School.

She was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended St. Stephens’s Catholic Church.

She worked at the Wyoming State Training School (Life Resource Center) in Lander for many years.

She enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, and sports. She loved visiting with family, having her grandchildren around, and participating in her Native American culture.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan Thomas and Rocky Thomas (companion, Stanford Washington); her brothers, George Antelope, William “Billy” Whiteplume, Francis Whiteplume, Leo Hanway, Bridger Hanway, Roberto Hanway, Sam Dresser, Michael Monroe, and Clinton Monroe; her sisters, Rachel Enos, Lucy Mesteth, Leann Sitting Eagle, Carrie Antelope, and Francis Willy; her grandchildren, Serena Thomas, Amilynn Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Quinten Thomas; and her nieces, Stephanie Tillman, Menyan Dresser, Laura Dresser, Crystal Dresser, Dallas S. Dresser, Katei Dresser, Sami Dresser and Kateri Dresser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Antelope and Lily Waterman; her son, Robert Loren Thomas; her grandchildren, Jeanette Thomas and Winter Rose Thomas; her sisters, Bernadette Whiteplume and Hazel Rooks; her brothers, Richard Whiteplume, Burt Whiteplume, Jr., Lawrence Monroe, Robert “Bob” Monroe, and Dallas L. Dresser; her aunts, Ada Whiteplume, Marcella Monroe, Azalea Hanway and Ina Blackfeet; her uncles, Joseph Waterman, Jr., Everett Monroe, and Albert Paul Dresser; and her nephew Richard “Skipper” Burns, Jr.
