Katrina Garwood, 55, of Dubois, died at her home on Thursday, December 24, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2016.
Katrina Garwood was born on November 13, 1960 in Springfield, IL to John Joseph Barnwell, II and Elizabeth Ann (Bedinghaus). She grew up in Divernon, IL and graduated from high school with the class of 1979.
She was baptized into the Catholic faith.
She married David “Keith” Garwood on August 2, 1980 in Divernon, IL. They came to Dubois 35 years ago and fell in love with the area and made it their permanent home. She worked beside her husband for years on a seismograph crew, where she repaired cables.
She especially enjoyed all of her friends in Dubois, which meant a lot to her, riding motorcycles, hunting, meeting people.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Dubois.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Garwood of Dubois; her father, Jack Barnwell of Farmersville, IL and his wife, Darlene; her brothers, Jim Barnwell and his wife, Connie of Herlong, CA and Joe Barnwell and his wife Nancy of Gillespie, IL; her sister, Theresa Hare and her husband, Stan of Dallas, TX; her sister-in-law, Karen Barnwell of Gillespie, IL; her brother-in-law, Michael Garwood of WY; and nephews and nieces, Austin, Dylan, Misty, Joe III, Andrea, Jim Jr., Jessica, Philip, Tabitha, and Maria.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Barnwell; her brother, Dan Barnwell; her sister-in-law, Jennifer Garwood; and her mother-in-law, Reba Garwood.
