Graveside services for Roxie Anne Smith of Riverton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander. Her son, Rocky Smith, will officiate.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday morning, April 19, 2008, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 79.
Roxie Anne Ore was born in Casper on Oct. 10, 1928, the daughter of Argil and Luella (Corrick) Ore.
She lived most of her life in Fremont County
She married Henry Smith in Lander in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Mrs. Smith was a cook and had worked at the Red Apple in Morton, Lee's Nursing Home in Lander, and the Holiday Inn in Thermopolis, along with numerous other jobs.
She had been a senior companion with the Senior Citizens program in Riverton and had taken care of several people suffering diabetes.
She was of the Christian faith.
Her family said Mrs. Smith enjoyed cooking, sewing, and reading.
She is survived by her son, Rocky Smith of Riverton; daughters, Elaine Schultz of Michigan and Libby Krulicki of Lander; granddaughters, Kathy of Florida and Samantha of Georgia; a brother, Virgil Ore of Casper, and a sister, Mary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; a son, Phillip; a brother, Fred; several sisters, and her parents.
