Joseph Manzanares, 65, of Lander died at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY on November 5, 2016. No services are scheduled. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Joseph Fidel Manzanares was born on April 12, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO to Joe and Matilda (Archuleta) Manzanares. He grew up in Colorado and Wyoming. Mr. Manzanares served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
On February 14, 2007 he married Catherine Irene Whiteman in Lander, WY.
He was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a concrete finisher by trade.
He loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Manzanares; sons, Daniel Manzanares, Sr., Dallas Manzanares, Sr. and his wife, Willow, Levi Manzanares, and Shaw Whiteman; daughter, Shanelle Friday; brothers, Mark Manzanares and Tommy Manzanares; sisters, Patsy, Brenda, and Vicki; adopted sons, Ben Brown, Darin Harris, Tom Crispin and Jeremiah Allen and his wife, Amber; numerous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters, Jolene Manzanares and Alma Manzanares and sister, Moondy Manzanares; and brother, Arthur Manzanares.
