Alexandrea Carolynn WhitePlume, age 15, died June 3, 2008 at Beaver Creek Housing. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the family home located at 127 Sage Brush Loop in Beaver Creek Housing. The Rev. Wendell Ghostbear will officiate. Burial will follow at the Headley Cemetery.
A wake will be held Monday evening, also at the home of Carmen Behan, 127 Sage Brush Loop.
Alexandrea Carolynn WhitePlume was born July 6, 1992 in Pine Ridge, So. Dak., the daughter of Alexander Leonard WhitePlume, Jr., and Carmen Louise Behan. She had lived on the Wind River Indian Reservation for 15 years, and attended elementary and middle schools in Riverton, and freshman and sophomore years at Arapaho Charter High School.
The family said Miss WhitePlume enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music, hanging out with her friends and watching her niece Carmalyn.
She had worked as a cashier at the Holiday Inn, McDonald’s, Burger King and Black-Water.
In addition to her parents, Miss WhitePlume is survived by brothers Taylor Behan and Tyras Monroe of Riverton, Alan WhitePlume and Lenny WhitePlume of Pine Ridge, So. Dak.; sisters Carmella Driftwood of Riverton and Ashley WhitePlume of Pine Ridge, So. Dak.
