Funeral services for Brenda Marie Kimmel, 75, will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018 at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Vernon Boehlke officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 15th at Davis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran School in care of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kimmel passed away in her home on Friday, March 9, 2018.
She was born on July 10, 1942 in Fenton, Michigan, daughter of Paul Malcolm and Helen I. (Gilbert) Black. Her father died when Brenda was very young and she was later adopted by George Andrew Pratt. She attended Adams City High in Commerce City, CO.
On May 27, 1961, Brenda married Joe L. Kimmel in Commerce City, CO. The couple have spent the past 49 years living in Riverton.
Brenda worked for DH Print for 5 years. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Her greatest interest was her children and grandchildren and love for Christ. Brenda was known for her kind, giving and fun attributes. Her family is her great legacy.
Mrs. Kimmel volunteered at the Christian Food Center, Library and the annual church garage sale.
Survivors include her husband, Joe L. Kimmel; sons, Dwaine Kimmel and Jeffery and his wife, Judy Kimmel; daughters, Jeanette and her husband, Rick Pickinpaugh and Beverly and her husband, Matt Sharpnack; brother, George Pratt, Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Maxine Rose Black.
