Lawrence “Larry” “Solo” J. Oldman, 29, of Riverton, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Great Plains Hall followed by the wake. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 31, 2018, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Arapaho Catholic Cemetery.
Lawrence Joseph Oldman was born on March 9, 1989 in Lawrence, KS to Steven C. Oldman Sr. and Shelia Luree Curtis HighPine. He attended Oklahoma Riverside Indian School, St. Stephen’s Indian School, and earned his G.E.D. in Montana. He lived on the Wind River Reservation most of his life.
He worked for Red Rocks Café in Colorado.
He practiced the Native American Traditional Ceremonies.
He enjoyed basketball, baseball, fishing, and being around family and most of all, spending time with his baby girl.
