Kerstin S. Toombs, 76, of Riverton passed away October 19, 2018 at her home in Riverton. According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
Kerstin was born May 14, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to Paul Sundberg and Glenda F. Turner. Kerstin was raised in Whittier, California and graduated from Whittier High School, receiving academic honors and was the Home Coming Queen in 1960. Kerstin attended the University of California at Riverside and California State LA where she received her teaching degree and credential.
On March 20, 1070 she married Everett G. Toombs of Hermosa Beach, California, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had three sons. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and Army National Foundation. Kerstin taught school from grades Kindergarten through 6th grade in Whittier, California, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Casper, Wyoming, Kerstin dedicated and devoted her free time as an active member and officer of the Glass House in Casper, Wyoming.
Kerstin was dedicated to raising and educating her three sons, enjoyed the outdoors, working in her flower garden, boating, and fishing. Kerstin was an avid reader and loved needlepoint. Kerstin was always there to help anyone at any time.
Kerstin is survived by her husband, Everett of Riverton, Wyoming; their three sons, Dwayne and wife, Alyce of Chino Valley, AZ, Matt of Lincoln, NE, and Brett of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Kerstyn, Evyn and wife, Kim, and Allyson; and great grandchildren, Landyn, Cady, and Rylan of Florida.
