A Memorial Mass for Sharon Campbell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church with Father Jim Heiser officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Mountain View Cemetery.
Sharon Campbell, 56 of Riverton passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at the Help for Health Hospice Home.
Sharon Kay Goetzinger was born on April 30, 1962 in Riverton, WY to Harold L. and Esther Elaine (Mowry) Goetzinger. She grew up in Riverton with her two sisters and one brother. She graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1980.
She was baptized into the Catholic faith and was a faithful member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church. Sharon was the first female Alter Server in the state of Wyoming.
She married John Scribner and of this union two daughters were born, Andrea and Shari. They later divorced. She married John W. Campbell on April 19, 1992 and they shared over 26 years together.
Sharon worked for Woodward’s IGA, Stallion Oil, BTI Railroad before going to work as the insurance clerk for School District 25 on February 6, 2010.
Sharon enjoyed sports, volleyball, bowling, and both playing and coaching softball, she was in the Fremont County Softball Hall of Fame. Sharon enjoyed cooking and her family said she was a great cook, above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and was there for all of their activities. Sharon touched many people over her short life and left an everlasting impression.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Campbell; father, Harold Goetzinger (who has since passed away), daughters, Andrea Miller and Shari Reinhardt and husband, Cole; son-in-law, Benjamin “Benny” Miller, II;sisters, Susan Goetzinger and Shelli Goetzinger; brother, Kenneth John Goetzinger; grandchildren, Evie Elaine Reinhardt, Ella Marie Reinhardt, Ben Miller, III, Donald Sharp, Hailee Scribner, Jordan May, Pearl Miller, Bluestone Jenkins, Harmony Miller and Dale Moss; mother-in-law, Rita Campbell; brother-in-law’s, Jerry(Tami) Campbell, Joe (Annie) Campbell, Scott (Jody) Campbell, and Jock (Chera) Campbell; step-sibling’s, Janet (Mike) Morgan, Joyce (Kevin, who has since passed away) Blankenship, and John (Lori) Gabrielsen; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, E. Elaine Goetzinger; step-mother Karen Goetzinger; father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Campbell; brother-in-law, Jeff Campbell; and step sister-in-law, Leslie Gabrielson.
