Beverly Owens, 78 of Riverton passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Sage West Hospital – Riverton. A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Davis Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mike Brumback. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Beverly Ann Wieser was in Greybull, WY on March 23, 1940 to Willard Joseph and Esther Maxine (Funk) Wieser. She moved to Riverton at a young age and made it her forever home. She did spend some time in Montana and New Orleans but Riverton was home.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and faithfully attended every Sunday.
Beverly was a self-made woman and was an entrepreneur. She owned and operated Al’s Gas Light Restaurant and Bar for a number of years. After selling it she became a real state owner and landlord.
She loved to crochet, drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends, enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, canning all types of food, and going to Svilar’s to eat and visit. Taking care of her rentals was a big part of her life.
She was the President of the Gardens North Association.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Owens; sons, Glen Davis, Scott Tyler, and Richard Wilson; daughter, Rita Whitesell; brother, Bill Wieser; and sisters, Wilma Thompson, Betty Wells, Donna Bell, Shirley Weber and Joyce Wieser; eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and many other loving family.
