Dennis Leon Fike was called home on February 24, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Denny was born in Riverton, WY on July 27, 1945 to Claude and Opha (Shamel) Fike. After Denny graduated from Riverton High School in 1963 he moved to Casper to attend Casper College.
Denny later joined the National Guard in 1967 and served until 1971. He eventually moved back to Riverton with his wife Glenda (Butler) Beeson to raise a family. For many years he worked at the Shirley Basin Uranium Mine until they closed their doors. He then worked for Stark Enterprise and eventually retired from NAPA Auto parts in 2010.
Denny loved many things, most of all his family. His granddaughters were his pride and joy. He loved spending as much time around them as possible, attending as many of their sporting events and other activities as he possibly could.
For the last eighteen years Denny was active in his recovery and he supported others in their own recovery. Denny made many lifelong friends and was the first person to help you if you needed it. He was the kind of person that would literally give you the shirt off his back. Denny always had a gentle presence, a kind spirit and a warm smile for all.
Denny is survived by his sister Dorliss (Richard) Jones and Sharon Davis, son Cary (Dalene) Fike, daughter Traci (Dave) Maxner, granddaughters Serenity, Avery, Afton and Grayce.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Opha Fike and brother Randy Fike.
A celebration of life will be held at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton on Friday, March 1st at 3pm and followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge shortly after.
