Donald “Don” Schlup, 66 of Dubois passed away at his home on Sunday, March 3, 2019. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Rustic Pine on Saturday, March 23, 2019, starting at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
Donald Ray Schlup was born on April 11, 1952 in Riverton, WY to Tracy and Mary “Toots” (Craft) Schlup. He graduated from Dubois High School and Central Wyoming College with an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement.
On August 8, 1994 he married Cheryl A. Gundlach in Tucson, AZ where they had met. The made their home in Tucson until July of 2011 when they returned home to Dubois.
Don worked as a policeman in Idaho and worked as security in many resorts.
He was a member of the Dubois VFW and was the town of Dubois Historian.
Don was active in many town events and was the head of the all class reunions held in Dubois.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Schlup; children, Jason Schlup, Carrie Schlup, and Danielle Luedke; siblings, Bob (Rosemary) Schlup, Fred (Naomi) Schlup, Barb (Leland) Moore, and Elsi Ward; and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Toots Schlup and brothers, John and Jim Schlup.
