Shirley A. Baker
Ms. Shirley Anna Baker was born October 14, 1935 in Casper Wyoming. She graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1954 and went to the University of Wyoming graduating with a Bachelor degree of Education in 1968. Shirley retired from teaching in 2000 after 32 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents George & Hazel Baker as well as her siblings Don Baker of AZ, Bonnie Baker CA, and George Baker of WY and son-in-law Michael Mahaffey (Mike) of WY.
Shirley passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 83. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters: Cressie Mahaffey (Mike) and Dawn Casteel (Jim Cronk) of Lander, WY; and two sons: Gary Ellington of Missoula MT, and Steve Ellington of Los Angeles CA. She also had two grandchildren Kasey Hilyard (Eric Hilyard), Kathi Adams (Jeff Adams) and four great grandchildren Brody, Sydney, Angela, and Jeffery; a host of other relatives and friends.
Shirley wishes to spend eternity among the mountains in Wyoming, so her ashes will be spread with family at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
