Funeral services for lifelong Fremont county resident, Gerald “Jerry” E. Huelle, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2019 at Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A Viewing will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m, Thursday, at Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Huelle passed away at his home in Riverton on October 18, 2019.
He was born on January 15, 1948 in Riverton, Wyoming, son of Lawrence F. and Eunice L. (Schultz) Huelle. In 1966, Jerry graduated from Pavillion High School.
On February 14, 1971, he married Cinda Wempen in Kinnear, Wy.
He worked as a farmer and truck driver for most of his life. Jerry was known for being a family man who loved spending time with them especially his grandkids. He enjoyed watching the grandkids in their sporting events and also when they showed their livestock. He and his wife took many trips this past summer to see the grandkids and he loved helping his family with anything and everything. Jerry also spent much pleasurable time tending to his yard.
Jerry was very active and supportive in his community. He was a member of the Swine Superintendent of Fremont County Fair for many years, Wind River School Board member for several years, Livestock Committee, Fremont County Pork Producers member, Wyoming Pork Produces member, and lifelong supporter of 4-H and FFA. As well as Pork All American, Young Outstanding Farmer, School Board for District #6, Wyo Arabian Horse Assoc., Barn Manager, FFA Alumni, Chaperone for 4-H kids, Pork Producers, Parade Marshall, Fremont County Hay Producers, Fremont County Swine Barn Manager and 4-H Swine Leader.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cinda L. Huelle of Riverton; sons, Larry Huelle of Casper, Chris Huelle of Riverton, Matthew Huelle and his wife Bradi of Riverton, and Myron Huelle and his husband, Cal O’Clair of Stanley, ND; daughter, Velma Huelle of Casper, Wy; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Huelle of Cheyenne, WY; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Huelle was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Eunice Huelle; brother, Keith Huelle; daughter-in-law, Robin Huelle.
