Kendall J. Moss, Sr., of Ethete died at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2008. He was 68. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Blue Sky Hall at Ethete. Catholic clergy will officiate. Interment will follow at the Friday Cemetery. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at St. Stephen's with a second rosary at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Blue Sky Hall. A wake follows Monday at 44 Plunkett Road. Kendall Joseph Moss, Sr., was born on Dec. 17, 1939, at the Wind River Hospital at Fort Washakie, the son of Herman Joseph Moss, Sr., and Rosie (Bitner) Moss. He attended school at St. Stephen's. He had lived at Hudson, St. Stephen's, Ethete, the Arapaho Ranch, and in Rigby, Idaho. Mr. Moss worked as a farm and ranch laborer and had worked as a farm hand in Rigby and at the Arapaho Farm, as a laborer at the Arapaho Ranch, and a night watchman for the Arapaho Tribe. His family said Mr. Moss liked to play bingo and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include sons, Kendall Moss, Jr., and his wife Glenda, Darrel Moss, Sr., Raphael Norse, Cletus Moss, Weldon D. Moss II and his wife Mandi, Santee Moss, Ronnie Oldman, Ronald Dale Moss and his wife Candace, Arland Moss, Thomas Brown, Martin Gutierrez, Robbie Harris, Wally Oldman, Jr., and Phillipe Romero; daughters, Rebecca Moss, Eliza Moss, Tracey Duran, and Rhonda McCabe; 42 grandchildren, including Baudelio, Jaden, Lydia, and Weldon "Trey" Moss III, and Abby Moss; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Moss, Sr., and his wife Alice, Medrick Moss, Sr., Donald Moss and his wife Linda, Wayne Brown and his wife Connie, Alonzo Moss, Sr., and his wife Gladys, Nelson Moss and his wife Emma, Pat Moss, Leonard J. Moss, Sr., and George P. Moss and his wife Eunice; sisters, Susanna Oldman and her husband Jerome, Rosella Moss and Richard Thunder, Victoria Moss Friday and her husband Wayne, Ursula Aragon and her husband Bobby, Delores Moss, Frances Ann Heidenberger, Tekawitha SunRhodes, Maxine Moss, Elizabeth Moss Brown, Julie Brown and her husband Martin, Anita Carrier, and Gloria Wheeler and her husband Larry; aunts and uncles, Geraldine Brown, Virginia Antelope, Anita Portwood, John Warren, Sr., and Robert Warren; adopted father, Burton Hutchinson, Sr., and his wife Joyce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Joseph Moss, Sr., and Rosie Bitner Moss; grandparents, Victoria Warren Moss, Alonzo Young Chief Moss, Dora Friday Bitner, and Black Bitner; brothers, Richard Moss, Norman Moss, Charles Moss, Harold Moss, Raphael "Sugar Ray" Moss, Paul Moss, Jr.; sisters, Mary Theresa Moss and Eileen Jo C'Bearing; sons, Wendell Moss, David Moss, Weldon Moss, and Baudelio "Bootsie" Gutierrez; grandsons, Shane D.
