Nancy Anne Tasi, 83, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at SageWest Hospital in Riverton, Wyoming. Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date.
Nancy was born on December 15, 1936, in Evanston, Wyoming, daughter of Melvin J. Gunn and Mildred E. (Coles) Gunn.
In 1955, Nancy graduated from Evanston High School. On November 27, 1956, she married George V. Tasi in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple lived their 60-plus years of married life in Las Vegas, Southern California, and Arizona, as well as many years in Lander and Riverton. Nancy considered Fremont County her home. She worked as a nurse’s aide and a teacher’s aide. She loved helping take care of patients as well as helping children succeed in school. Her greatest love was taking care of her family.
Nancy was a baptized member of the Presbyterian faith and a member of Job’s Daughters as a young lady. She enjoyed and was very talented at counted cross stitch, crochet, and sewing for her girls when they were little. She loved her home and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Mark Snow of Salt Lake City, UT, daughter Mary Tasi of Riverton, WY, and step-son, George LeGate of Austin, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her infant son, Jeff Tasi, as well as two step-sons, Nick LeGate and Mark LeGate.
