Shirley E. Brown of Shoshoni died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Hot Springs Memorial Hospital in Thermopolis. She was 70 years old.
At her request, no services are scheduled.
Shirley Ellajean Nicklow was born in Ursinia, Penn., on Nov. 15, 1936, the daughter of Richard Milton Nicklow and Katherine Louise (Tressler) Nicklow.
She had lived in Shoshoni for the past 11 years and prior to that lived in Cheyenne and in Tustin, Calif.
She had worked as an inspector of glass bottles.
Ms. Brown was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
Her family said she enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, fishing, and was a member of the auxiliary to Moose Lodge #56
Survivors include a son, Daniel R. Croce and his wife Lisa of Shoshoni; a daughter, Teresa D. Croce of Riverton; three sisters, Margaret Countryman of San Antonio, Texas, Genevieve Wolfe and husband Albert of Spencer, W.V., Joan McCartin and husband Jim of Dalzell, S.C.; brother, Johnny Nicklow of Dunkirk, Md.; four grandchildren, Candy Lynn Duty of Tennessee, Frances Brooks and Daniel Croce both of Massachusetts, and Joey Croce of Shoshoni; two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, George W. Croce, and two brothers, Jerry Dale Nicklow and Walter Lincoln Nicklow.
