Funeral services for Delbert J. Madrid of Dubois will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Dubois High School gymnasium.
A viewing is tentatively planned for 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will take place in the family cemetery, immediately following the service.
Delbert J. Madrid died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident near Dubois. He was 18 years old.
Delbert John Madrid was born on March 18, 1990 in Denver, Colo., to Delbert J. Madrid and Elizabeth M. “Beth” (Irwin) Madrid. He had lived in Fremont County for the past 6 years, most recently in Dubois.
He was a senior at Dubois High School, where he was active in football and track.
The family said Delbert never had a bad thing to say about anything or anybody, and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, video games and dragons. He loved his animals, Maxwell the monkey, Ralphie the camel, Tina the dog, Dori the cat and biting fish.
Delbert’s ambition was to become a paleontologist or video game designer.
Among his survivors are his parents, D.J. and Beth Madrid; and his brother Matthew Madrid, all of Dubois.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Heather Mae Madrid.
