Lee "Newell" Ellis died Thursday morning, Oct. 16, 2008, at Morning Star Manor in Fort Washakie. He was 88 years old.
At his request, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
Lee Newell Ellis was born on April 25, 1920, on a ranch on the Sweetwater River, the son of Lee and Lillian Ellis.
He lived in Fremont County all of his life. The last 17 years were spent on a ranch on Beaver Creek south of Lander.
His extended family includes the Abernathy family of Lander.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
