Graveside services for George Anthony Antelope, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Antelope passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Wind River Healthcare and Rehab Center.
George was born on March 8, 1949, in Arapahoe, Wyoming, son of Richard and Lilly (Waterman) Antelope. Following high school graduation, George served in the US Marine Corp for 4 years, serving most of his time in California. He graduated from Central Wyoming College with a criminal justice degree.
Mr. Antelope worked as a corrections officer for the BIA. He also worked for the Shoshoni and Arapaho Fish and Game Warden, was a paramedic for over 15 years in Fremont County until he had a stroke in the early 2000’s and had to retire.
George loved to fish as well as hunt and spend time with his grandkids. He also liked to hike, take walks, play bingo, hand games and gamble.
He was a member of the criminal justice club at CWC.
Survivors include his son, Daniel (Kandy) Antelope; daughter, Stephanie Enos; grandchildren, Ralondo, Danielle, Isaiah, Anthonio, Jadin and Rylan; great grandkids, Malie, Dakota, Jace, Santino and Eviano; brothers, Samuel Dresser, Billy Whiteplume, Leo Hanway, Bridger Hanway, Roberto Hanway, Frances Whiteplume, Mike Monroe, Clinton Monroe, ; sisters, Rachel Enos and Lucy Meseth; nephews Nathan and Rocky Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Antelope and nephew, Robert Thomas.
