Virginia Lee Rangitch, 89, sadly passed away at her home in Riverton, Wy on November 7, 2020.
The daughter of William (Mac) and Grace McLean, Virginia was born on Jan 3rd, 1931 in Midwest Wyoming where she spent her childhood and graduated Valedictorian of her senior class.
On May 27th1950 she married Kenneth M. Rangitsch and from their union they had two children, Debbie and David.
In 1960 the family transferred to Riverton with Amoco Production where Kenny and Ginny both worked until their retirement. They stood side by side through 47 years of marriage until Kenny’s passing in 1997.
Virginia, fondly known as Ginny, loved fishing with her husband in the Tetons on their boat on Jackson Lake where they spent many beautiful summers together. She was an avid card player and loved to play bingo and other fun games like PO-KE-NO with her lady friends. She crocheted intricate afghans and baby blankets, read any and every kind of book, traveled to foreign countries, and cruised to tropical paradises. Watching baseball, especially the Colorado Rockies was also a favorite pastime. What made her light up the most was watching her son and grandchildren play sports. She was their biggest cheerleader and knew the rules of the game. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and spent a good deal of time boasting about their achievements.
Not one to sit on the sideline, Ginny loved to be in the action and go, go, go. She was always willing and excited to try something new. Always welcoming, her home was a haven for family and friends, always stocked with good food and beverages to share. Anyone who knew her and came into her home knew she adored the color pink.
Above all her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her the most.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Bill, and her sister Cheryl Eutsler.
Survivors include, her daughter Debbie (Larry) Wilcox of Mechanicsville Virginia, son David (Barbara) Rangitsch of Saratoga Wyoming, grandchildren Rhett (Candace) Wilcox, Ryan Wilcox, Tyler (Melissa) Wilcox, Sara (Alex) Spalding, Seth Rangitsch and five great grandchildren.
Thanks to Covid-19, a private graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Mountain View Cemetery. Donations in her name can be made to The Riverton Senior Center in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
