Constance R. "Connie" Miller of Crowheart died Wednesday, Nov. 05, 2008, at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton. She was 80 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Dubois, with Pastor Fred Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at the Dubois Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
Constance Rose Allison was born on June 8, 1928, in Vetal, S.D, the daughter of James Allison and Beryl Etta (Andrews) Allison. She grew up in California, then moved to Dubois, attending local schools.
On May 4, 1947, she married Larry Miller in Jackson, and they settled in Crowheart, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband operating the Cross Mill Iron Ranch and their outfitting business in the Burris area for 60 years.
Mrs. Miller was of the Lutheran faith.
Her family said she enjoyed knitting, reading, collecting arrowheads, and was a rockhound, having an amazing eye for rocks and arrowheads.
Among her survivors are her husband Larry of Crowheart; sons, Stephen Miller and his wife Bobbie of Aztec, N.M., and Bill and his wife Maurine of Riverton; seven grandchildren, Echo Miller, Stephanie Miller, Jessica Hauck, Jake Miller, Anne Fowler, Mike Miller, and Eli Miller.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
