Roberta Phillips, 75, of Riverton passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Morning Star Care Center. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Roberta Jean White was born on October 16, 1945 in Mobridge, SD to Wilbur A. and Alvina Paulina (Huber) White. She attended schools in Mobridge and graduated from Mobridge High School.
She met Roland Earl Phillips in 1972 and five years later they married. The celebrated 48 years together this year. They lived in South Dakota before moving to Kinnear 35 years ago and made it their forever home.
She was a member of the Riverton Eagles Auxiliary for over 26 years.
Roberta had worked as an CNA, EMT, Senior Citizen Center cook, Wendy’s manager, Wind River Health Care cook, and owned her own business, Libra Ceramics, for over 20 years.
She loved being an artist doing western and southwest scenery and animals. She was an avid collector of recipes and loved to cook. Cutting wood and camping with her husband was a favorite time for her. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. Her family said she always put others before herself. She had a special bond with her best friend and sister Beverly and they shared a special message “Just You”.
She is survived by her husband, Roland Phillips; sons, Dale James Severance, Dallas Lynn Penry, and Darren Schwiner; brothers, Robert Gauthier, Kevin Gauthier, Greg Gauthier, and Brad Gauthier; sisters, Beverly Keele, Linda Adams, Renea Giles, and Kimberly Martinez; four grandchildren and two great grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Alvina White; step-father, roger Gauthier; and several brothers and sisters.
