Valerie Ann (Shelatz) Sauer of Riverton, Wyoming formally of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully on December 2nd, 2020.
Valerie was born in Meadville, PA on June 26th 1942 where she grew up and she later spent her senior year & graduated from Norwalk High School in Norwalk, California.
Valerie was a woman of great faith and spent countless hours praying for family and friends. She loved nothing more than to give to those who were in need. She was truly selfless. She loved the company of her many friends and enjoyed card games and Sunday breakfast with them.
She was a member of Club Wyoming Star Mineral and Gem Society. Valerie was also a master of all crafts such as jewelry making, knitting and chalking. She became interested in essential oils and used them all around the house.
Valerie was the daughter of her predeceased parents, father, James Jewel and mother Betty Jewel and her late husband Richard J. Shelatz and son Richard S. Shelatz.
She is survived by her beloved husband Paul Sauer of Riverton, Wyoming.
Daughter, Carrie Shelatz and her fiance’ Colleen Gagne of Manchester, NH; and her son Dan Shelatz and his wife Allyn of Punta Gorda, Florida, Ernie Sauer and his wife Karen of Newport Coast, CA, Lori Moore and her husband Bill of Riverton, Wyoming and Tonia Mills and her husband Chris of Newcastle, Wyoming.
In addition, she is survived by her sister Betty (Tom) Roberts of Orange County, CA. Bonnie (Cliff) Bayugua of Port Angeles, WA. Jim (Susan) Jewel of Nipoma, CA.
Her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Rutter (Marty) of Centerville, PA. and Richard J. Shelatz (Corey) of Rapid City, South Dakota; Collyn Shelatz of Punta Gorda, Florida, Logan Shelatz of Punta Gorda, Florida and Lara Shelatz of Punta Gorda, Florida, Tina (Joe) Bowlsby of Riverton, Wyoming, Levi Burton, Riverton, Wyoming, Camron Burton Riverton, Wyoming, Malissa Schayes of Newport Coast, CA. Tyler Mills and Kyle Mills of Newcastle, Wyoming. Along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.
No calling hours will be observed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date along with the celebration of her late son, Richard Shelatz.
