Betty Lou Wieser was born May 23, 1953 in Worland, Wyoming to Willard Joseph and Ester Maxine (Funk) Wieser. Betty attended schools in Riverton graduating Riverton High School. She spent most of her life in Georgetown, Texas moving back to Riverton 14 years ago to care for her mother. She also worked for CES and Smith’s Grocery in the floral department. The majority of her life she was a nursing assistant and worked for Lowes in the garden department where she loved working with flowers.

Betty married Johnny Wells. The couple had two children, Johnnie and Jerimiah before divorcing.

Betty’s passion was gardening, raising house plants including exotic plants, and collecting rocks with her friend Kat. She loved to visit on the phone and shop - always looking for a bargain. Her family said while she worked for CES she considered all her clients her “kids.” Many times, she would spend her days off with her kids at her own home entertaining, gardening and shopping.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Johnnie Wells of Texas and Jerimiah (Deb) Wells of Colo.; her grand dog, Millie; her brother, Bill (Becky) Wieser of Riverton; two sisters, Wilma (Jack) Thompson of Riverton and Adonna (Sammy) Bell of Ariz.; Immediate nieces and nephews, Rita Whitesell, Richard Wilson, Doug Black, John Weber, Mike Thompson, Kimberly Faddis, Colleen Shaw, Bobby Smallie, Billy Wieser, Corrina Wieser, Mike Wieser, Lois Lebsack, and Amanda Piercey; as well as many great nieces, nephews and CES “kids.”

Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice Home in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501. Flowers would also be appreciated as Betty loved them so much.
