Patsy Faye Steenbock, 78 of Riverton passed away on Saturday September 25, 2021 at the Help For Health Hospice Home in Riverton, Wyoming. Services are scheduled for Saturday October 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at United Baptist Church In Riverton, Wyoming.
Patsy Faye Bartlett was born in Falls City, Nebraska on September 18, 1943 to Glen and Vivia (Dillon) Bartlett. She grew up the oldest of 6 siblings on a farm in South East Nebraska. The family later moved to a farm near Shoshoni, Wyoming. Patsy is a graduate of Riverton High School.
Patsy married Darrell Steenbock on January 26, 1963 at the Riverton United Methodist Church and moved to the family farm in Missouri Valley. Patsy and Darrell later gave birth to their sweet baby girl, Lisa Dawn and their little family was complete.
Patsy was a devoted wife and mother to Lisa Dawn. She was a homemaker, a room mother in Lisa’s class at Shoshoni School. Patsy was a strong supporter of 4H, Home Ec and the Fremont County Fair, along with all of Lisa’s many activities. She was a fantastic cook and hostess. She enjoyed sending guests off with goodies when they visited her home.
Patsy was a very hard worker on the farm with lambing, crops, moving irrigation pipe, gardening, and anything else that needed to be done. She was a very kind, caring, loving and giving person. She loved to give gifts to everyone to show her appreciation and love.
Patsy attended St. Margaret's Church in Riverton. She enjoyed going to the Farmer’s Market with Lisa, craft and church bazaars, Set Free Church Luncheons and Fun Day, along with Open Hand Ranch get-togethers for food, singing and fellowship. She enjoyed going to McDonalds for her early morning coffee and her trips to Family Dollar.
Lisa imagines her mom, now having her own Family Dollar in heaven and giving gifts to everyone.
Patsy loved spending time with her grandson, Tyrell Elliott, when he came to visit from North Carolina every summer. She and Tyrell loved baking sugar cookies together in his early childhood years. Patsy never forgot Tyrell’s birthdays and always made them very special. Later, when Tyrell would come to visit, the highlight of his vacation was when he and his grandma would go to the casino and would cheer each other on, hoping to win big.
Patsy is survived by her loving Daughter, Lisa Steenbock (Scott), Grandson Tyrell Elliott (Jackie) and great grand daughter Aliyiah - all from North Carolina, brother Richard Bartlett, Rita McClure, Nieces - Cody Bartlett-Fein and family, Heather Mills (Bartlett) and family, Brother in law Dean Trembath, Nieces - Keri Christensen (Trembath) and family, Kim Hager (Trembath) and family, Laurie Shoopman (Trembath) and family, Nephew Todd Trembath and family, Niece Star (Bartlett) McGrath and family.
