A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Diane Ruth Friday, 65, who passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Wind River Rehabilitation Center in Riverton, Wyoming.
Diane was born on September 28, 1956, daughter of George A. and Vivian R. (Olson) Thompson in Whitehall, Wisconsin.
On October 12, 1974, Diane married Neroy Friday in Wisconsin. The couple, along with their son, Damian, moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 1978 to be closer to Neroy’s family and experience new places. In 1987, now a family of four with the arrival of their daughter, Rana, moved to Fremont County where they remained. Diane spent 17 years working for the Wyoming State Training School as an Aid before she began working at the Wind River Casino as a prep cook. She thoroughly enjoyed her time at the casino and the friends she made there.
Diane enjoyed cooking, gambling, crafting and spending her time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW while living in Laramie, Wyoming.
Survivors include her son, Damian Friday and his daughter, Lynessa Friday of Lander, Wyoming; daughter, Rana and Benjamin Friday-Crabtree and their children, Nicholas Herman, Caden Crabtree, Saphire Crabtree and Spirit Crabtree; brothers, Thomas Thompson and Jerry Thompson both of Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Friday was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Robert and Don Thompson.
