Laura Beulah Macfarlane passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Burial will be in Cedar City, Utah Cemetery on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.

Born September 29, 1930 in Cedar City, Utah to Glen Macfarlane and Hazel (Stevens0 Macfarlane. Married Rex B. Nelson December 17, 1948 in Cedar City, Utah. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on May 28, 1960. They later divorced.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served a Temple Mission in the Ogden, Utah Temple.

She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the V.F.W. Ladies Axillary 3628.

Laura worked for Mountain Bell, AT &T, and retired from U.S. West.

She loved to cook, bake bread, crochet, embroidery, and read.

She is survived by her children, Maurine (Bill) Miller of Riverton, WY, Marsha Nelson of Tempe, AZ, Glen “Mac” (Victoria) Nelson of Kingman, AZ, Naomi (George) Robinson of Chandler, AZ, and Jennifer (Jess) Stauffenberg of Spokane, WA; eleven grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother in February 1932 and father in February 1951, and sister, Dawn M. Magleby in January 2017.

The family would like to thank Frontier In-Home Services for their kindness and caring help. Especially Desiree, Sue, Pam, Jane, Gina and Sheri She fought Parkinsons for several years, but enjoyed visits with friends and reading.
