A Memorial service for John Kevin Schwope, 57, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at the United Baptist Church with Pastor Dean Whitaker officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.
John passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Wind River Rehab and Wellness in Riverton, Wyoming.
He was born on January 19, 1965, son of Vernus E “Coonie” and M. “Tykie” Laverne (McCauley) Schwope in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Prior to moving to Riverton, John had lived in Lander, Wyoming.
John was a member of the United Baptist Church in Riverton, Wy. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and happy soul. He loved music, eating out, shopping and going to church as well as playing jokes on his friends and family. John will be missed by his family, friends, and the great staff at C.E.S. He has gone to be with his Savior, and to finally rest in the loving arms of his mother and father.

John is survived by his sister, Karen Skillern of Cheyenne; brothers, Terry LaHiff and Marc LaHiff of Cheyenne, and brother, Tim LaHiff of Tulsa, OK; two nieces, four nephews, eight great nieces and four great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, M. Laverne “Tykie” Schwope in 1995 and his father Vernus E. “Coonie” Schwope in 1972.
