John C. "Jack" Seaton died at his home in Crowheart on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. He was 62.
At his request, no services will be held but a gathering of friends and family will take place at 2 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Rustic Pine Frontier room in Dubois.
John Curtis Seaton was born on Feb. 6, 1946 in a little house outside of Riverton to Robert and Letha Seaton.
He spent the majority of his life in Fremont County.
Mr. Seaton owned a water well drilling business serving the Dubois/Crowheart area.
His family said Mr. Seaton loved the outdoors and spent much of his time fishing or hunting. He enjoyed tying his own flies and loading his own ammunition. The family said he took great pride in his yard and garden when he wasn't working. They said he loved animals, especially his dogs.
Mr. Seaton is survived by his son, Brian Wise (Seaton) and grandson Colter Wise of Riverton; brother, Everett and his wife Lily of Thermopolis, nephew, Dale Seaton and his wife Linda of Meeteetse; nieces, Danna Masko of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jene Seaton of Farmington, N.M.; numerous cousins, and other relatives.
Mr. Seaton was preceded in death by a son, Loyd Wise (Seaton), and his parents.
