Elaine "Toots" Longtine died at her home in Lander on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2009, at the age of 77.
Cremation has taken place and, according to her wishes, no services will be held.
Ruth Elaine Bell was born in Evanston on July 5, 1931, the daughter of Earl Bell and Ruth Agnes (Staniforth) Bell. She was a life-long resident of Wyoming and graduated from Evanston High School and the University of Utah.
She married Frank F. Longtine, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Longtine had been a kindergarten teacher, head cook at Fremont Manor, and homemaker.
She was a Sunday School teacher and worked with 4-H, Boy Scouts of America, and the Future Farmers of America.
Her family said she enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, canning, crocheting, embroidery, flowers, houseplants, and hunting.
Survivors include sons Max Longtine and his wife Cathy and Shane Longtine; daughters, Julia Robinson, Mary Ann Blake and husband Phil, Lorna Bartlett and husband Gary, and Cherry Lynn Bailey and husband Mike; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild on the way.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brother, a sister, two daughters, two sons, and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made to Wind River Hospice in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
