Benjamin “Ben” Miller, Sr., 72, of Arapahoe passed away at his home on Thursday, February 9, 2023. A wake will be held at 7:00 pm at the Miller residence, 433 Lefthand Spur Road, on Sunday, February 12, 2023. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Davis Funeral Home.
Benjamin R. Miller was born on January 5, 1951 at the Ft. Washakie IHS Hospital to Lawrence W. and Nancy Viola (Snyder) Miller. He was the eldest of five children. Ben graduated from Riverton High School and then joined the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged, and then became a proud member of the Richard Pogue Post 81 of Ft. Washakie.
Ben was a lifelong rancher and farmer in the Arapahoe/Big Wind area. He had a knack for raising cattle and producing the hay crop that kept his herd thriving.
Ben was a great “fix it man” that could repair anything and everything, but a broken heart.
He is survived by his wife, Julianna Miller; children, Nancy M. Miller (Corey Caldwell), Maggie M. Miller, Benjamin Miller, Jr., Starr D. Miller, and Kasia Monroe; granddaughter, Harmony Duran; grandchildren, Benjamin Miller, III, Pearl Miller, Janae (Austin Perez ) Miller-Crispn, Dre’Ceon Headley, Tori Miller, Annilie Castrejon, Donald Sharp, Nizhooni (Taylor) Chavez; Jaliah, Jesabella, and Taylor Jr. Chavez, Alondra Estrada (Brandon Rios) Andres Rios, Angelin and Evelina Blackburn; and sisters, Marilyn (Tom) Monroe, and Carolyn Miller LongWalker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Nancy Miller; brothers, Robert Miller and Buddy Miller; and granddaughter, Cali Rose Wahtomy.
