Darrell Henrichs

Darrell Henrichs, 83, of Bouse, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  No services will be held, as were his wishes.

 

Darrell Lee Henrichs was born on April 16, 1940 in Powell, Wyoming to Loyall and Mary Melinda (Hensley) Henrichs.  He grew up in Powell, working on the family farm. He graduated from Powell High School with the class of 1958. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1964 and was discharged approximately three months later due to medical issues.

 

Darrell was baptized into the Church of God and attended Faith Fellowship Church of God.

 

After being discharged he went to Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada to work at a truss plant. He later worked on road construction in the oil field until 1971 when he bought a farm in Deaver, Wyoming and raised sheep, cattle, hogs, and grew sugar beets, corn, and alfalfa. Darrell retired in 2002 and moved to Riverton in 2009 before going south to Arizona.

 

He was married to Sandy Owens, having divorced in 1960, he married Wanda Beall.  They were happily married until her passing in 2008.  He then remarried Sandy and she preceded him in death.

 

Darrell was a member of the Big Horn Basin Boat Club, Big Horn District 1, the Eagle’s Club in Powell, and the Bouse Booster in Arizona. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, traveling, being on his pontoon boat, and staying at the house in Buffalo Bill Reservoir during the summer.

 

He is survived by children, Shawn Henrichs, Darren Henrichs, Kim Henrichs, Margaret Graham and Chris Pendergraft, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyall and Mary Henrichs; his brother, Darwin Henrichs; and wives, Wanda Beall Henrichs and Sandra Lee Owens-Henrichs.
