With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the Arnold/Lynn family announce the passing of our kind, caring, sassy and unimaginably generous Mom and Grandma, at her home surrounded by family following a lengthy illness, on Tuesday April 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held April 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Funeral Home, followed by interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Donations can be made to Hospice in her honor.
She met and married Dave in 1958, on their journey they lived in Massachusetts, Florida, California, Wyoming, Georgia and North Carolina. Together they welcomed 4 children. She was their rock and example throughout her life. As they got older her door was always open.
She was creative and loved to crochet, knit, cross stitch, paint and draw. She was a fantastic cook and phenomenal pie maker. Adding to her many accomplishments, she was a master gardener, always working in her yard and garden. She not only provided food for the table, canning and fresh vegetables, she passed her knowledge to her children and grandchildren. Many nights were enjoyed in her ever growing smaller and smaller yard and larger and larger flower garden with every type of flower blooming in color and fragrance.
She met and married Gene in 1991, and found new hobbies to add to her old ones,
fishing, hunting, traveling.
Her work life started at 12 in the tobacco fields and ended as a co-owner in a construction company
