No services will be held for Shirley Ann Miller, 90, who passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton, Wyoming. Cremation has taken place.
Shirley was born on October 5, 1932, daughter of Pete and Anna (Sterkal) Sauer in Bayard, Nebraska. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1950.
In 1952, Shirley married John Francis Miller in Riverton, WY.
Shirley spent 50 years of her life living in Casper and 40 in Riverton. While living in Casper, Shirley worked for Marathon Oil as an Accountant for 35 years.
Ms. Miller loved to garden and can what she harvested. She was an avid fisherman on the North Platte River and had many fond memories working the family farm in Riverton, Wyoming. Shirley was also an avid supporter of the CWC Scholarship program.
Survivors include her dear nephew, Wayne “Kelly” Sauer, who helped take care of over the last 10 years on a daily basis; brothers, Jerry Sauer, Harry Sauer and Louie Sauer; sisters, Carol Wilson, Charlene Sauer and Susan Bilbee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Miller; three brothers, 4 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and great and great, great nieces and nephews.
