Noble Bullington

Mar 4, 1939 - Dec 24, 2023

Noble Dale Bullington of Riverton, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 84.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, Wyoming. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.  As we reflect on his life, let us cherish the memories and the legacy he leaves behind.

Noble was born March 4, 1939, in Belin, New Mexico to Luther and Lorena Bullington and spent his early years on a ranch outside of Mountain Air, New Mexico, alongside his brothers Luther "Jack" Jr., Leonard, and Johnny. At the tender age of 15, he embarked on a journey that led him to Riverton, Wyoming, where he faced the challenges of life head-on, living in his car and taking on various odd jobs.

In 1957, at the age of 17, Noble met the love of his life, Frances Weber, and they were married on January 5th at the Justice of the Peace in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Together, they navigated the winding roads of life, raising four children—Lela Rebecca (Becky), Timothy Dale, Kimberly Ann, and Shaun LeRoy. Their journey took them to Thermopolis, Dubois, and finally to their beloved home in Riverton.

Noble Bullington was a man of hard work and determination. From his early days working for Hubbard Construction and Skaggs Auto and Salvage to herding sheep on Muskrat Creek, Noble's work ethic was unwavering. In 1965, he founded Bullington's Well Service, a venture he owned and operated until 2004. He never wanted to retire, so he continued his labor, driving his dump truck for various companies, including 71 Construction, Dave's Asphalt, and Bornhoff Construction Company.

Beyond his dedication to work, Noble found joy in the mountains. Hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling were more than activities; they were expressions of his passion for the great outdoors. His faithful canine companions were always by his side, sharing in the adventures and creating lasting memories.

In his younger years, Noble embraced the thrill of stock car racing, maneuvering his Chrysler 07 with a zest for life. He was an avid rock hunter, and his tales of discovery, like the large piece of Apple Jade he found and later sold, but wished he never did, became part of the stories he would tell.

One of Noble's greatest passions was his 1958 Cameo pickup. He painstakingly did an off frame restoration, transforming it into a stunning Grabber Blue masterpiece. This endeavor led to a lifelong enjoyment of summer car shows, and his pride and joy even graced the pages of Super Chevy magazine in 1992.

Noble Bullington is survived by his children and their spouses—Lela Rebecca (Becky) Grover and husband, Lee, of Douglas, WY, Tim Bullington and wife, Sue, of Riverton, WY,  Kim Good and husband, Curtis, of Riverton, WY and Shaun Bullington and his significant other, Cheryl, of Riverton, WY, his brother, Johnny, and wife, Lennis of Los Lunas, New Mexico, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Rayola Bessey of Riverton, WY, sister-in-law, Connie Weber of Riverton, WY, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews.

He is reunited with his beloved wife of 57 years, Frances, and those who preceded him in death, including his parents, Luther and Lorena and brother, Luther "Jack” and wife Carolyn, brother Leonard and infant brother, Kenneth all from New Mexico.

In the tapestry of life, Noble Dale Bullington has woven a legacy of hard work, passion, and love. May we find comfort in the memories we hold dear and honor his memory by continuing to embrace the joy of life, just as he did throughout his 84 remarkable years.
