Graveside services for Elizabeth Turner of Riverton will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. Pastor Fred Schroeder of the Bethel Lutheran Church of Lander will officiate and interment will follow.
Mrs. Turner died at her home on Friday, June 8, at the age of 88.
Elizabeth Schmidt was born in Colorado on July 14, 1918, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Rein) Schmidt.
She was graduated from Riverton High School and completed beauty school in Denver, Colo.
During World War II, she operated her own beauty shop in Colorado. Then she worked in Laurel, Mont., for an oil company.
She moved to Riverton from Laurel in 1971.
She met her future husband, Charles Turner in Laurel and he preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1991.
Mrs. Turner was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Riverton.
Her family said she enjoyed collecting rocks and visiting with friends.
Survivors include a brother, Emanuel Schmidt and his wife Nora of Washington state; a sister, Marguerite Mowery of Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Turner; two brothers, Jake Schmidt and Henry Schmidt; a sister, Katherine Schmidt, and her parents.
