Dora D. Ward died at her home in Riverton Thursday, June 14, 2007. She was 75 years old. She had been ill for some time and her family was at her side at the time of her death.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.
Dora Dae Deshaw was born on Jan. 8, 1932, in Burris, the daughter of Edward E. and Clara (May) Deshaw. She attended the Burris/Crowheart Elementary School and Lander Valley High School.
A life-long resident of Wyoming, she moved to Riverton in 1958.
Ms. Ward worked in cleaning services and had worked at Bishop Randall Hospital in Lander, the Wyoming State Training School in Lander, Riverton Memorial Hospital, Fremont Manor in Riverton, numerous hotels, motels, and private homes.
Her family said Ms. Ward enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Gregory L. Ward and Claudia of Riverton; daughters, Janice Nass, Julie Powell and her husband Fred, and Teresa Cross and her husband Paul, all of Riverton; four grandchildren, Jonathon, Travis, Corey, and Angela; six great grandchildren, Hailey, Devon, Madison, Alex, Dominic, and Cole; a brother, Richard May and wife Peggy of Riverton; numerous nieces and nephews to include Vernon Lajeunesse of Dubois and Anna Sharp of Crowheart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and six sisters.
