Mary Gonzales, 86, of Shoshoni, Wyoming passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, March 1, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, Wyoming. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Mary Quintana was born on April 20, 1937 in Durango, Colorado to Alcario and Beatrice (Zamora) Quintana. She lived in Green River, Wyoming for 20 years and for the last fourteen she lived in Shoshoni, Wyoming.
Mary was baptized into the Catholic faith. She was an active member of the church.
On April 16, 1967 she married Robert Gonzales in Elko, Nevada. Together they raised seven children.
She worked as Head of Housekeeping at Castle Rock Convalesced Center until she retired.
Mary enjoyed fishing, hunting, sightseeing, and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of over 56 years, Robert Gonzales; sons, Tony (Laura) Martinez of Utah, Rick (Cindy) Martinez of Cheyenne, WY, and Steven Gonzales of Shoshoni, WY; daughters, Debbie (Mike) Sanderson of Phoenix, AZ, and Kathy (Dean) Williams of Rawlins, WY; daughter-in-law, Sig Martinez; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcario and Beatrice Quintana; daughter, Cindy Cressel; son, Dan Martinez; and dog, Tink Gonzales.
