Janice Gordon, 81, formally of Riverton, Wyoming passed away in hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Janice Kay Sauer was born on March 8, 1943 in Riverton, Wyoming to Gene and Audrey (Gifford) Sauer. She was a twin but her sister, Mary, passed just after birth. She grew up and lived in Riverton, Wyoming, graduating from Riverton High School. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in January of 2018 to be closer to her daughter.
On December 8, 1963 she married Gary Gordon in Riverton, Wyoming. They had one daughter, Dalerae Gordon. They later divorced.
Janice worked as a hairdresser in Riverton for fifty plus years. Much of that time was at the Aloha Beauty Salon which she eventually purchased and subsequently closed upon her retirement in December 2017.
Janice enjoyed bowling, knitting and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Dalerae Klein of Colorado Spring, Colorado; and grandchildren, Taylor Klein of Dubois, Wyoming, Tucker Klein of Riverton, Wyoming, and Tanner Klein of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Audrey Sauer; and twin, Mary Sauer.
