Lloyd C, Haack, of Dubois, Wyoming passed away peacefully Friday, March 22, 2024. a celebration of life funeral will be held for family and friends at the Dennison Lodge, Dubois WY viewing at 1:00 PM service will begin at 2pm located in Dubois Wyoming Saturday April 13, 2024.
Lloyd Clarence Haack was born April 18, 1939, in Romeo, Michigan to Clarence William Haack, and Dorothy Winniford (Randall) Haack. He grew up on a potato farm in North Branch Michigan owned by the Haack Family. His senior year of high school his family moved to Pontiac Michigan and that is where he graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1956.
After high school he worked at a transmission rebuilding shop learning how to rebuild automatic and standard transmissions. In 1957 he opened his first transmission rebuilding shop. In only about six months of this event two gentlemen from Toronto, Canada were driving past his shop and seen the pile of transmission cores heaped up along the outside wall of the building they turned around and told Lloyd they buy those cores for a big rebuilder in Toronto and asked if he would sell them. They bought every one of them for about $40 each. That started a whole new business right then and there for Lloyd. Eventually a year later meeting Erv Schmidt and getting into the engine core business that lasted for 40 years before leaving it in around 2008 to invest his time and mind into the bears and the bulls of wall street to earn his money.
On Sept 26,1958, Lloyd married Barbara Ann Funderburk in Pontiac, Michigan. They had two sons together Clarence and Howard they shared thirty-three years together before divorcing in 1992. Lloyd later married Cecile P Lewis and loved their time together living in Florida, and Dubois Wyoming.
Lloyd loved seeing nature with (Chi-Chi) Cecile on the side by side. playing pinochle and traveling around the country leisurely site seeing. He always had a cooler in the car fresh water and good sandwiches. He also loved taking care of his home cleaning painting fixing things and making his home a beautiful place to be. He loved seeing the deer, elk, bear, and occasional moose that would stroll across the property here in Dubois.
Lloyd is survived by his Son Howard E, Haack, and wife Deborah: five grandchildren and five great grandchildren brothers Roger Haack of Davison MI, and Gerald Haack of Arcadia, Fl.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wives, Barbara Ann Haack, and Cecile P Haack; parents, “Clarence” & Dorothy Haack; and son, Clarence L Haack.
