Robert Lee Sauer was born June 20, 1931, in Bridgeport, Nebraska to Henry and Mary Sauer. He was the 7th out of 10 children. He grew up on the family farm west of Riverton, off Riverview Road. He survived a farm accident when he was 10 years old, thanks to the invention of Penicillin.
Bob Joined the Navy in 1951 and was enlisted for two years. His commanding officer recommended that he join the Sea Bees branch of the Navy, which he did. He hauled heavy equipment all around the United States. We always teased him that he was a sailor who never stepped foot on a ship!

They lived in a few various locations around Wyoming. They made their forever home in Riverton where they had two daughters, Deborah Lynn and Tawny Renee.
After working in the Gas Hills, Bob along with his brother Paul started Land Improvement Construction. They sold and installed numerous Wheel Roll and Center Pivot sprinklers; as well as concrete ditches for many farmers around Riverton and the surrounding towns throughout Wyoming.
Bob’s work was his hobby, he also enjoyed watching the Broncos, and his family was his biggest love.
