Funeral services for Maurine Rose Piper, 55, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2024 at Alice Piper’s residence, 744 Blue Sky Hwy, Ethete, Wyoming. Interment will follow at the Sage Redman Cemetery. A Wake will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the family home.
Maurine passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Maurine was born on May 28, 1968, daughter of Aloysius Piper, Sr. and Alice Marie (Two Dogs) Piper in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Survivors include her mother, Alice Marie Piper; sons, Lakota Piper and Therin Dewey; daughter, Marguette Welsh; sister, Alberta Dewey; brother, Aloysius Piper, Jr.; kids, Roseann Piper, Krista Piper, Myan Piper, Garrett Piper and Stanna Piper; grandkids, Mary Rose, Carter Piper, Eugene Piper, Oliva Piper, Lashry Piper, Roman Piper, Emily Piper and Joseph Piper; daughter-in-law, Lorena American Horse Teymonie Piper, Krista Piper, Kunta Fast Horse; special friends, Claudette Stanley and Betty Fast Horse.
She was preceded in death by her father, Aloysius Piper, Sr.; daughter, Alisha Piper; sister, Cheryl Piper; nieces, Deneise Piper, Stephanie Piper and Rosita Piper; granddaughter, Dakota R. Piper.
