Susan Taylor, 63, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away at her home on Friday, May 3, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Mountain View Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at Foundations of Nations Church located at 20 Mission Road, Arapahoe, Wyoming.

 

Susan Lajeana Marie Martin was born on July 23, 1960 in Porterville, California to Frank and Agnes Martin. She grew up in Lindsey and Porterville.

 

While in California she married and had a daughter, Shalaina. She and her first husband divorced and she moved to Wyoming.  In 1992 she fell in love with a Wyoming Cowboy, Doug Taylor, and they married. They had a son, Tyler, but later divorced. Susan was a stay-at-home Mom and worked on the farm while she took care of her children. She continued to live in Wyoming where she enjoyed her children and grandchildren, Lily, Eli, Reid, Joel, and Bowen.

 

She was a member of the Foundations of Nations Church where she participated in Bible study and Discipleship class. She was a faithful member at church every Sunday for services. She also volunteered at the food pantry, cooking for mission teams, and helped paint the new recreation center.

 

Susan loved gardening and landscaping.  She enjoyed decorating and had an eye to make things beautiful She found joy in being a part of helping others and being involved in church activities. She loved going to church, being with family and friends.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Shalaina and husband, Heith Hill; son, Tyler and wife, Lindsey Taylor; grandchildren, Lily, Eli, Reid, Joel Hill, and Bowen Taylor.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank, and Agnes Martin; and brothers, Tom Martin and Jim Martin.
